Shout out to all the team drivers who drop trailers like this. May Santa bring you common sense and knowledge so you can learn how to do your job accordingly.

Is post-trip inspection not apart of our job anymore??

I know. Dispatch said it was a husband/wife team. I think one of them failed to do a post trip for sure.

Ok, Day one of orientation is in the books.

Reggie picked us up around 7:00am at the hotel. First started with filling out all the required paperwork. Followed with a quick hello from Rusty and Bill then video's and "quizzes". Lunch from Subway (and my dinner tonight, lol) QC macro's, few scenario's and a few more video's, then tour of the Abilene facility. Wrapped up about 4:30pm

Tomorrow we will be wrapping up the video's, explanation of benefits, pre-trip and road evaluation with Bill. I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of it at the moment.

Lots of information thrown at you, but not too bad.

The dude in there with you named Tom is a good friend of mine. We worked together at my last company.

Yes he is. Very nice guy. Sat right across from him today. I did mention you from here and he laughed and smiled. "John's been getting me to come here now for three years..." Seriously though, he spoke highly of you.

According to Reggie in my orientation last week, it isn't required. I doubled checked to be sure, because I remembered all the times people in this thread have complained about it. And he straight-up said that we don't have to do a post-trip. Only a pre-trip is actually required. He even went and double-checked with someone (dunno who) before coming back and confirming that it wasn't a requirement.

Obviously, it's still a good idea and a courtesy to your fellow drivers, so I plan on doing them anyways. And he said that was also fine.
