Well, when I went to check on load options on Saturday all they had was short runs to the northeast.... And if I remember correctly, you don't run the northeast. {shrug}

And I don't know what world you live in but when I go to the window to "talk to them" I certainly don't feel like I'm "begging like a dog".

Call the broker. They might know or will set it up for you.

 

Why is making a call so hard? Personally, I would rather call and get the info first hand rather than wait for someone else to do it and call me back.

Also, the folks in the office are probably juggling several things for several drivers and maybe they have drivers waiting on loads so they ask you to call so they can get back to other issues?

Well, that is true... Broker loads don't seem to flow as smoothly as our internal customer loads. Take the good with the bad I guess.

I don't know, perhaps the fact that I'm pretty good at compensating for dispatch's inefficiencies?

Yes, I'd say some miles is accurate. But my weekly average is pretty poor.
