Thanks MD. I used to haul beer to an inside dock for WS. It was always 8am and the truck facing East. Never saw the dock till the mirrors cleared the door. Then it was sunspots for another 5 minutes. lol

I bought a very bright light just for that run. I'd set it at the dock on the line for the driver side tire and aim for it.

After the sunspots cleared up that is. Lol

 

So today turned into an adventure. No issues getting to the store location and very little traffic around 3-4 am. But still took 45 min once on the island. Got parked in the loading zone and around 6ish started asking the contractors for the refrigeration guys. Finally one guy trys to be helpful. Says hes not the refrig guy but asks what i have. When i say hp coolers he looks at me and says....thats my stuff but your not supposed to be here today. Turns out the memo about two weeks behind never made it all the way to abilene. So i leave and it takes about 1hr15mim or so to get off the island, and after 8am call and get walter and tell him. Eventually sent a move to bring all back to yard. Then later called that they want it at some warehouse in nj tomorrow at 8am. So sitting at 104 and back to nj i go tomorrow.

Also learned today that atleast some loading zones are paid parking and idling in nyc more than 3 minutes is a no no. Got the slips to prove em too! Guess i need to charge these coolers for all the sight seeing tour im giving them since they didnt pay for parking or turn the truck off.

That sucks.... Might want to fight the idle one... I am no lawyer but I thought our trucks were certified clean idle so that we are exempt from that. Probably just truck stop counter talk.

I bought into the MetLaw benefit at Abilene... I hope to never have to use it.
