Turns out that I was lied to. Again. My request was denied because I "didn't have enough time. Besides, you just had a day off in Vegas. Why do you need more so soon?" It's seems that if I actually took that day in Vegas, I would have lost the other days I had accrued. That is theft, pure and simple.
This is the straw that broke my back. 3 times in 5 months that I had to fight for my home time. I'm very happy that a few of you love Abilene so much. It is obvious that I am not a match for Abilene. I do find comfort that I'm not the only one who gets screwed in some forms or fashion.
If this makes me a crybaby, so be it. Right is right, and I have not been treated fairly. Even Bill admitted this.
Off my soapbox now. Back into seclusion.

You get 1 day off for every 6 days out.
Ask them, nicely, to do the math for you.
That should address the issue for all.
We also have a new Human Resources Manager... If, after doing the math, you are still unhappy with the answer, contact her. -
That's what they tell us anyway. But then, they also tell us 12.50 an hour for detention or non driving related work and 150 a day for layover/breakdown. All of which I've had and put in for, non of which I've received.
Now I'm personally counting on the time off numbers. I've planned from the start to run 60 or more and take 10 off. I'll need 10 to drive from the yard to PA, take care of some things, see family for a couple days and then drive back.
As always, I'll report the truth on the outcome of that plan.

I was told when you take time off you need take off all the days you earned. They said don't have a way to keep track of it if you take one day now and the rest later. If you don't you use all your days off you lose them.chralb Thanks this.

Here... It's not chicken, but I will share.5speed and DrummingTrucker Thank this. -
You'd think maybe they could trust us to keep track? I mean, I'm not tooting my own horn here but, I'm pretty good with basic math. Even if others aren't. Just saying.

Problem is, I was told with certainty, that unused days off would be banked. Now, I found out that if you stay out long enough to earn, say 5 days. But you only want a day off, and you need the 4 days for another time, tough. Take that day and you loose the 4. That is theft. Period. You earned those Days, then you can't use them as you want for relaxation or needed time? Screw that.
I had things I wanted to do. Now, my off time is being controlled by Abilene.
Sorry. But that is crap.mitrucker, Lonesome and runningman0661 Thank this.
