Then maybe they can control they're thermostat in the office and make up the rest

MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
I'm sure the electric bill is a lot cheaper than the fuel bill already.

@Drtro
This is the main thread on TTR for Abilene. We have OTR, Regional, Trainers, and fresh new drivers like yourself.
Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have about Abilene or general driving questions. Most everyone here will give you an honest opinion based on their personal experiences here at Abilene.
@All ... He is looking into CDL school and checking out options in the Richmond Area. He is also interested in going the O/O route too. I don't think we have any O/Os in this group do we? Either at Abilene or in general.
Feel free to ask any questions about Abilene either here or via Private Message.

It would be fun to have every office tied to the trucks... When we are in the truck and it's not running, their HVAC doesn't work.
I want the accounting office to call me when they get hot or cold... LOL
Whose office would you want to control based on idling/not idling??? -
Idle the truck during those times.
-
You can't? News to me.
Ok, no AC in the winter time. -
And that $21.5 Million made just a bit more for the company too. Did it say how much it spent on Labor Costs?
-
The loads we haul pay for everything and everyone. Just try to imagin what the total cost of operating is per year. They don't own the company just to get by. The owners have to take a big chunk for themselves. Otherwise why own a company.chralb Thanks this.

What's your point?
I am not arguing anyone making money.
I am very much a Capitalists at heart.
I have never worked for a poor man.
But, everyone leaves that office after work and goes home to a house with AC and Heat. I have no problem idling my truck during summer months... I don't idle as much in the winter months because I don't mind the cool and we have bunk heaters for when it gets cold.
All I said was that figure is huge... But just about every figure is huge at this size of company.
