Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Some one please tell me where the magical black hole where empty trailer go to is at???? GPS tracking on the trailers and dispatch can't seem to local one in the the greater Chicago area?????

 

Do you have to live a certain distance from Abilene in order to work there?

 

Well to sum up my days, 4 days of Gatorade shuffle, then a 4 hour dock time today for stuff going back to h.p. I'll be in Richmond tomorrow night. Nice an easy. Then off all next week. I'm having my first surgery. I'm really feeling like an adult now.

 

They hire from a lot of places. Are you looking for OTR, regional, or local? Where do you live?

 

No. Where do you live?

 

I live in Waynesboro, VA, it's west of Charlottesville and south of Harrisonburg where 81 and 64 meet. Would I be able to take the truck home during home time, or would they make me park at the terminal and drive back and forth since it's only a ~90 minute drive? I don't have a personal car of my own.

 

They'd definitely hire you in that area. We go by there alot. I'm not sure about the truck thing. I think @RebelChick could answer that better.

 

Went up with Trainer Jerry for stage three last night/ today.

BH Brooklyn is definitely no joke. First backed into the pen, then few hours later we drew dock 2.

After BH, we went to JFK, DHL for a load back to Richmond. Traffic wasn't bad considering the time we left around 6pm.

Per my trainer from Kimberely I'll be issued a truck sometime tomorrow. And so it begins....

 

Dang on, I thought you were still with the trainer Chris. But if you're in Richmond tomorrow night, hunt me down, I will too. I'll bet you money you'll get a newer truck than me.
