I love calls like that.

Someone else along the way screwed up, and now you're expected to expedite picking up their slack.

I approached you at the pumps in Pontoon Beach, GL1800, I went with a more local company to that area, DOT FOODS. I thank you for the advice, Abilene was one of four companies on my short list. Safe miles to you Redtwin

LOL .. Yea, right? I was glad actually. Saved me from sitting for 3 or 4 hours waiting to leave. I just don't do sitting well. Well, glad until I got there that is. All went South (Miami Beach as it were) from there ... lol

The "tight" South Miami Beach Hill Phoenix run.

(Ignoring that 4 wheeler with no place to go and a cop trying to back her back out )

What this first shot doesn't show is I'm actually facing the entry and up on the sidewalk (Tandems crammed forward) to clear a container on the left at the mouth of the entry. From here I had to back up and jack the truck to the point my air flanges were about 3/4" from the trailer.

    The entry.jpg
Once the jack was done I had to proceed forward with my right steer staying up on that curb there to get completely clear of that container (by inches). Thing was, my right mirror was now roughly an inch from the wall on the right. lol On the right curb.jpg

This mirror shot shows that container. Mirror shot container cleared.jpg

This one the right mirror close to the wall. Steers still on that curb ... lol Mirror close to wall.jpg

The rest just looking back at all that room. LOL
Tight left side.jpg Looking back left side.jpg Looking back right side.jpg

Professionals (and the slightly crazy :D) only need apply. o_O LOL
Then I got to unload the trailer myself. Oh what fun! :)

Forgot one. This one shows another 4 wheeler going nowhere and a guy about to tell her so. And the street I came off of to get to this place. You can see I had to back (that jack) onto the opposing sidewalk for room. No other way in there.

Anyway, after all that I got a nice tame load of tall paper rolls from Riceboro GA and dropped it in the yard at 8:40 this morning. Seems once again it's a wait on freight so I put the truck in the shop for new steers and a break adjustment. They were getting a bit grabby on lite loads or bobtail and needed to be loosened a touch.

Yep. S7 Edge. It really does a nice job in standard mode. Can't wait to play with the "Pro mode" (whatever that is) ... lol :)
