Having a Rider with you requires a monthly fee I think. Something along the lines of $6-8/pay period. Covers the extra insurance?
Pets, I think you do get it back if no damage.

My opinion, animals dont belong in a truck. I hate getting a truck that someone has had a dog in. I'm allergic to pet hair. Like my current truck. My passenger door on the inside, scratches and the seat belt latch. Yup, dog used that as a chew toy. And I remember when I first got it having to vacuum dog food out of the passenger side door on the bottom. I don't see paying as much as they do for these trucks just to let someone's animal destroy it. I've seen dogs/cats up in the dash of trucks going down the road. Not very safe either. I'd say the "pet" issue is my only real problem with this company. But like I said, not trying to offend anyone, that's my opinion.

That's just sloppy pet owners. Nothing wrong with pets if the owner keeps it all in check and does whatever cleaning is needed on a routine basis. I know many drivers with pets and you'd never know they were in there. No different than keeping them in the house. The drivers that would let a pet ruin a truck are the same type that would leave trash, pee bottles and other garbage in it as well.

My dog wanted to get on the dash, but we trained him not to. I know that all pets/owners are not the same. But my truck has way more damage done by a smoker than a pet, even though the curtains were full of pet hair.

Yup... my truck was totally abused on the inside broken drawers, broken hinges, stains on the walls/ceiling, broken/missing power plugs, etc.... and no sign of pets...
But I do agree that pets in the trucks bring a unique set of issues to both the driver and the company. Personally glad they allow pets.
I do have my puppy with me at times when my wife is traveling... I wrap a moving pad around the passenger seat to protect it, but he doesn't like sitting in that seat while the truck is moving at all, and added a few more blankets under his dog bed to protect the cushions for the next driver. And a couple pieces of carpeting on the floor too.
But I am also the guy who has never ever lost a security deposit on any apartment or home that I have ever rented. I treat rented/borrowed items as if I owned it... and not as someone else's problem once I return the item...
but others... well... simply don't...
KD5AXG, chralb and runningman0661 Thank this. -
I've been around here for awhile now, my truck a 15... if they try to give me something else that has pet issues I'll refuse it. I know some people are responsible with their pets, just like some smokers pay attention to that, but way too many don't.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
And a shame some ruin it for others. -
Hmmmm....maybe you're right on that.
This is the way payroll does my rider policy. They take $16 out of every paycheck for 6 months. Or 12 months worth. If my hubby doesn't ride in any given month, I get that money back at the end of the year. Kinda crazy, but then again he doesn't ride all the time. So this year I will get 4 months refunded (April, July, August, October...) or maybe more if he doesn't ride at all the rest of the year.
If your rider is on the truck for even 1 day in any given month, you have to pay for the whole month.KD5AXG, ChrisL, chralb and 1 other person Thank this.
