    What are some things that you guys or gals like to carry with you on the road to make your job easier? Tools? Apps on your phone? Anything helpful.

    Amen! I'm a smoker. Step in my truck and see if you can tell. :)

    Can't stand that oder. I told Abilene the same I did WS, y'all might hold the pink slip, but that truck is mine and it will be treated as such. ;)

    Same as JB less the pics of a wife and dog. My 150lb tool box, a 4 foot crowbar, my 22oz 18" straight claw hammer, and my duel 18v 120v DeWalt shopvac. That's for making the "job" easier. As far as life? That's a longer list. Lol

    @KD5AXG

    I asked in the Volvo forum about mounting a tv and seems there is a missing piece of hardware that is needed to mount a tv on the mounting arm... its adjustable to the VESA holes on the back of the tv and has extra support that attaches to the corners of the tv and then that piece mounts to the swing arm.

    I don't think I have ever seen such a thing in any of my Volvos, so looks like we are missing a piece to the puzzle...

    Or did you already get the drill out to address it?

    My wife is a clean freak and our truck would never get dirty and our dog lets us know when she needs to go out.
    My dog is a part of our family and cleaner and more friendly than most truckers haha

    Dropped my load at the yard, then promptly got a deadhead move to BH in Groveport to HPL with a 2 stopper, Reno and Redding for Sunday.

    I'm pretty new, so I'm learning as I go.

    What I have so far are a few apps. I'm really liking Trucker Path a lot to find parking options. I use the Flying J / Pilot for their locations. Also use Transflo App and Google Maps satellite and street view to find exactly where the truck entrance is located.

    I bought a few things in the past few days:

    Broom with detachable handle
    Dust pan
    Microwave

    and I'll inquire more things to help me along the way.

    I don't care if it's part of your family or not, I still wouldn't want your truck. In my opinion like I previously stated, I don't think animals belong on the truck. I'm allergic. Everyone claims they keep up, this and that, and that's why you have trucks like mine where the dog has chewed on everything. Dang on. You, plus your wife and the dog. Two people barely have room and you add a dog. That's terrible, but good for you if you bring fluffy along
