Everything in this period is honeymoon... you will probably LOVE running solo after training and everything will be awesome.... reality will kick in later... but reality is way over rated so don't sweat it.

Use this honeymoon time to focus on "settling in" to YOUR Truck... you are now the captain of your own ship... time to define yourself as a Driver not a Trainee.... questions will come up and everyone here has got your back.

Work WITH your FM to build a good working relationship as a team member and know it will take a bit of time to get in sync with both the FM and the Company.

Build a good solid base... fine tune later.

    Lonesome and ChrisL Thank this.

Well maybe we didn't meet the other week in Florida... I met up with a much younger girl not some old woman... granted she seemed to like the older gentlemen ... based on her personal chef that was traveling with her... ;)

    Awe... cute puppy!!!!

I wish my puppy enjoyed riding shotgun... I don't know if it's the height or the seat moves more than the seats in our cars or the rumble of the big diesel or what but I can't get him to ride up there... got the extra seat cover like you did, lowered it all the way to the floor so it would move with the floor and not bounce and sway... but he just doesn't care for that seat. On the bed in back or at my feet on the floor.

Oh well, he's a good truck fog either way.

Oh, that's right... I forgot... well now I know what to do should I ever add a tv to my truck... i might need to find a smaller tv someplace.

Does anyone know if these new digital tv signals work on the move? I was thinking someone said the antenna needed to be stationary... no clue why that would be... thinking about down the road should the wife jump on board with me or running the tv for sound while I am driving.

Dang It.... I was going to grab my bag of winter gear and toss it in the upper bunk and forget it until needed... (hopefully not needed) .... where were you with this suggestion when I was packing for the truck from coming off vacation???? :p

    But seriously, good suggestion.

Ya, I switched from CoPilot to RM730.... I like both for different reasons but the RM is my go to for "trucking data"... can be frustrating at times for different reasons but I trust it to get me there and on the right roads too.

But yes, don't follow it blindly... it's just a tool to help get from A to B... common sense is still highly recommended!!!

Hahaha! Flattery will get you..... ;) Believe it or not, my personal chef and I are the same age. I just wear it better. We both are 49 (he is as of August and I will be in a couple weeks). Some days I feel 29, some days I feel my age, and others I feel 129. Especially when the weather is rainy or cold. Another reason to dislike winter.
