Thing that got on my nerves when I was taking the test by the vending machines was the folks who would come by and either kibbitz or chat with Bill.

When I was taking the Stage 2 test, some mouthbreathing chowderhead strolled up and just...stood there. Didn't say anything. All up in my personal space, right next to me at the table. Just watched me take the test.

Finally Bill said something to him, he gave a reply, and then wandered off.

Like, on what planet is this acceptable behavior?

Crap. Getting ready to roll and my ABS light is on. Not sure if it's worth calling breakdown for this, or if it'll go off on its own once I get rolling. Bill kinda left me with the impression that they don't want me calling breakdown for trivial stuff, and I don't know enough to know whether or not this qualifies as trivial. After all, they've had me driving with my Check Engine light on for three days.

Chances are the light will go out once you get rolling. But as far as trivial, the check engine is less important. DOT won't care much about that but they'll write up a problem with the brakes and "could" want to do a more thorough inspection seeing that light. If it doesn't go out pretty quick, get it checked.

Funny cause the last time I ran the loop I had a couple days on my loads... so I was running a bit casual for several days... still always dropping very early ... but then it was brought to my attention that I was taking too much down time on them... so I stepped it up and rolled as requested...

That night I was refused for being too early...

It's funny around here at times...
and yes I was laughing when I informed my FM.

Yes, another good example... my FM likes to talk to me on the patio... there are times a small conference room would have been a better setting for my expressions and opinions...

Many good reasons to have a small conference room... heck Bills old office is sitting empty... could use that. Or the room outside the three offices... not "private" by no means but at least it's a bit more professional place to have conversations and conflicts addressed.

Yeah, no question about that. But at the same time, I don't want to waste my time or Abilene's money by calling breakdown over stupid ####.

And, just as @chralb said, the light went out about 30 seconds after I put the truck in gear. So it's all good.

Sometimes if you have been sitting for a while, the ABS light will come on. If it doesn't go out after a few minutes of running, then it's time to call someone.
