Well, dropped my last two pallets of pickles... I swear some of these BH drops are as small and tight as many of the LL locations. Ugh.

But it's always easier the second time if I should ever find myself on this alternating weekly pickle run again.

Unfortunately, due to my sightseeing tour around flood waters yesterday, I ran out of time to get onsite to take my 10 prior to drop... so I had to start my clock this morning just to get here...

I will drop them a QC msg to make sure they know that I had to start my clock sooner than hoped.

Might get a load quicker that way ...
... or not... who knows... ;-)

I have only had one occasion where I grabbed an empty when I wasnt expected to. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it does plant the seeds of doubt.

Maybe if they added one of those canned load instructions we would have a better idea of the procedure at various consignees.

    Public Service Announcement:

Also, as we have a few more newer guys here with us who are now sans trainer, it might be nice if they had a few of our phone numbers should they need Driver to Driver help afterhours or for when hitting stuff the first time.

If you are open to sharing your numbers with them just drop say so here or drop them a PM.

And new guys, don't be afraid to ask any of us for our numbers or for help if/when needed... we are all out here doing the same thing at the same odd hours ... and know you can't just call the office for help either... so just ask.

    Stay Safe,
    MD

Also, maybe the area you excel in...

for example, if you had a serious mechanical question, calling me probably would not be much help beyond someone to talk to while you wait on the folks from the breakdown service... LOL

But if you want to setup and use a new App on your smartphone, (transflo, cat scale, pfj, etc) to help make life easier, then I would love to help.

We have a wealth of knowledge in this group... from 38 year driver veterans to law enforcement to computers to now we even have a certified electrician too. And I am sure there are areas that no one is even aware.

So much for that preplan from yesterday. Got the load at noon, with a 2pm place holder time as i did not have any hours at that time. Called shipper to make sure they were 24/7 for drop hooks. She said they were and that they were still working on the load. This was also around noon.

Show up around 11pm, and still sitting here. No idea when itll be done. Best i could get out of shipping is they are somehow reworking the load to make it all fit. So here i sit at dietz and watson in phili, just a waiting...
