Thanks @Evomalo, @RebelChick and Redtwin for the advice. Leaving Groveport tomorrow night to find parking was my biggest concern. Glad BH will allow you to stay if needed. I'm thinking I'll be close to running out of drive hours by the time I get up there.

10-4 on swinging wide at Jarratt. I recently just purchased a pad lock, so hope that will suffice. It's not the most expensive but it gets the job done.

You could do a 34hr reset there by the groveport front gate. When you get there you will see what we mean. I call it our 4th yard because of all the abilene bobtails lounging there.

You don't "have" to stay there though. There are a bunch of restaurants/fast food joints a couple miles away on Alum Creek drive. Use your offduty driving to bobtail over there for a change of scenery while on your break.

A regular padlock will work, but once you wrestle with it a couple times, the $6 for a long shank 2 piece job from wally world will seem like money well spent.

While traveling through Indy do you ever go west on 74 or north on 31 ?

Might be a bit too bold in the open meeting but I was planning on putting an "Executive Summary" of our thoughts and comments here to be shared Respectfully and Professionally with the Powers That Be in Richmond.

Trying to figure out just how that would work but wasn't liking any of the automated machine options... LOL ... some things just require the old fashion hands on approach...

But I agree, Groveport is almost better than our yard in Richmond... LOL

Personally, I roll south a few miles to a small Rest Area... good parking, especially when bobtailed, and easy to head back after getting your orders for the next load.

There are a couple other places I want to check out sometime in that area with time. A small bar and a huge casino too.

Groveport is not a bad place to head to.

Honestly, I would just love to see what your talents could do with crayons and construction paper... what's the name for a Professional Map Maker? Topo something I think. Anyway, you might have a future after OTR.

(But seriously, your maps are always spot on)
