I just woke up, to dead batteries. Urghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My bad, I fell asleep with my auxiliary heater on, truck off, laptop plugged in, iphone plugged in, fridge running and all my other crap on, I can't imagine why the batteries got drained. I just asked another driver for a jump. I offered him a cup of coffee but he refused. I then offered him a ten dollar bill and he refused. What's this industry coming to? A driver helping another driver? Unreal. All joking aside, As jaded as I get sometimes, then something like this happens to put me in place. Thanks to the PTL driver for his help.

That's what's really nice about trucking. There is such comradeship among the drivers. It is great that you help one another out so.....kind of like The Good Samaritan approach. Glad someone went to your rescue, JohnBoy.

Waving at the house as I go by. What I was trying to explain to mommy6 about the industry. Made my drop at Wally World this morning and then bobtailed back to the yard. BS'd with BB for a bit while waiting on George. He's good to go and is the new Ecuadorean Cowboy hahahehe.
Headed end down to Sabra to grab a Hall's load; was thinking great I'll take my 10 at the house. As I started up the road I started thinking. What else do we drivers do during our drive period. If I break at the house it will take me 3 hours to get to Hall's, 6 to 7 hours back to the yard and then 3 1/2 to get back to the house. Crap that doesn't add up and fit it with the little box that tells me I'm tired after 8 hours and need a break. If it was a non-reefer load I would have just gone to the house after delivery and then come back out Mon, been out for 4 weeks. Well we know how precious reefer space is so I know I'll have to take it back down south and see if I can grab something that will deliver Mon. Four weeks out would constitute 4 days off but to constitute that green in the wallet I would want something delivering Mon.jungHo Thanks this. -
Uturn BH turned into a fiasco. Still in Pburg for 2nd time today. How can you screw up 36000 lbs so bad!!! Reworking the load now. This trip is my reward for being a trainer. I may get to Brooklyn by 5 am. Maybe.

Scott must be getting a lot of HOS calls. Sally called me and had a request for me. She called and said she and Scott wanted to ask me if I minded they update the mentor sheet by adding HOS next to me on the mentor sheet. Grant it, the legalese of how it is written can be confusing but just add common sense to it. Since I told Sally to stop asking me about training she asked if she could add my name to that list. Sure it's the least I can do to help out. For those new or coming aboard, we have a mentor list which is basically giving permission to call with questions without having to worry about asking to call. An open invite for those that don't have anyone else's number.
JohnBoy Thanks this.
