Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm talking about.

 

I have a CB, and wouldn't be without one. Cell phones fail from time to time. If I had time, I'd have one of my Ham radios in here, too. With that, I could talk around the world when I was stopped.

Got up early this morning with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. No QC msg. Walked into dispatch to see what great news they had for me. Funny enough, it was great news! Trl still not loaded, and no eta. So, Chris (?) took me off that load and gave me a run to SE Nashville, delivery at 0600 Monday. SPLENDID!!

So, after some unfortunate no cause traffic jams, a rather curious QC elog glitch, and an motor vehicle incident detour, I'm less than an hour out parked at a beautiful and enchanting Hess truck stop. Just finished a delicious dinner, and about to rest my weary head for the night. Just have to cofirm where my travels will take me so I may deliver my magical cargo.

Well that pretty much sums it up right there.

 

Having a great time with my lovely dinner date. Dispatch tried to load me tonight. Not a chance. Made a deal to run that florida swap for a load to the yard and reset. Took a bit of talking but ....

Hey, 76 days out? Yeah, I'll take the break.
