I've said all I care to say on this subject. MD is a nice guy, we just have MUCH different circumstances. I agree to disagree.

Hello again, Abilene crew. I am packing for orientation that starts Monday, and as I mentioned I am a brand new CDL holder, so I will be moving into a trainer's truck shortly.
I am planning to come up I-95 from Jacksonville to Richmond (I live in Ocala, FL), are there any issues with that route from the recent storm or otherwise? I am thinking I can easily drive that in a day, but will most likely leave on Saturday afternoon just to be safe.
I was told to bring 2 weeks worth of clothes, does that seem like a lot? Or does it just mean 3 changes of underwear in trucker terminology?
Also, how many of you carry work boots? I was told that I may need them or may not. I was also told not to bring food, as the trainer would be stopping at Walmart when we hit the road. Maybe it would be better to buy a cheap pair of boots there if my trainer decides I need them. Sound like a decent plan?
TIA, and looking forward to meeting you guys! Oh, when is this BBQ?MidWest_MacDaddy, chralb and JohnBoy Thank this. -
Maybe they'll make you a plate full o' food, and keep it in the 'fridge.JohnBoy Thanks this.
