Best to check with various states dot websites. I know NC had issues recently with a bad crash that had 95 completely closed.
You wont need work boots. Only footwear stipulation I have encountered is open toe footwear being prohibited. You will need warm clothing as there is a good chance you will find yourself in below freezing temps. Did your trainer tell you directly that he/she will be stopping for food shopping?.
I think it will be a safer bet to plan on buying fast food along the way as there may not be time or opportunity for grocery shopping. Space on the truck is also limited so you may only be able to carry a couple days worth of food anyway.

Chain laws are in effect in Montana. Every time I've been up there it wasn't a concern in Montana, but the reloads had me going through Oregon, Washington, and California. Out of 6 trips up there, 5 of them were in snow.MidWest_MacDaddy and KD5AXG Thank this.

I will be there as well, on Monday. I will be flying in on Sunday afternoon.

Thanks to my luck with EST traffic, I ran out of time before I could drop this POS trailer. So.....
I'll drop it in the morning, then BT to HPh to wait on another mystery load, supposedly going to Pensacola for Monday morning delivery.
Complementry food or no, they'll have to put a gun to my head before I'll go to that meeting. I am not, and have never been the meeting type.
So, night all!JohnBoy and DrummingTrucker Thank this. -
Thanks... and guess who hopped in the truck and ran off the yard without grabbing a set of chains... guessing I will be buying another set at a PFJ...
Thanks.JohnBoy Thanks this. -

You'd have had to anyway. Been there, tried that. The shop has nothing but junk hanging on the wall. Incomplete or odd matching, no tension cams or T handles and mostly all rusted. You could throw a bunch on your truck if you want it to "look" good but, if you want a complete functioning set, you gotta buy em.
Knowing what a good company man you are, I recommend waiting until you get in an area that requires them. You'll save Abilene a bunch of cash. If you can even find them in the east where there mostly illegal, they'll cost a lot more.WotansVolkman and Lonesome Thank this. -
So is anyone in our little group here actually in town to attend the meeting???
JohnBoy Thanks this.
