Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Really hate to see new people come aboard. Was in richmond and seen 4, 17 series trucks with body damage. Old man that works in the body shop confirmed my suspicion that it was it fact new drivers. That is where my raise is going. I've never understood giving brand new equipment to new drivers. You should have to earn it.

Poor communications... someone didn't get the memo and now we have not only one but two and the one in granite is twice as big which then requires a HHer... ugh.

 

Just as I thought. Absolutely nothing was on the agenda for today. I did hear there is a nice carhart jacket we can purchase for about $100. No thanks. Only thing I had with the logo on it was a hat and I don't know what I did with that.

 

I bought 6 shirts early on. Nice heavy T's and twill button ups. I wear them when picking up or delivering. When I leave, I'll just have patches sewn over the logos. I've worn my hat only a couple of times. I'll donate that.

 

I bought one shirt. I'm a bigger guy and trying to fit in between the trl tandems and the skirt on the trailer (to beat on middle piece to get the pins to pull in) I ripped it all to heck. I use it as a cleaning rag now

 

Be nice instead of buying it, that they give it to people who deserve it. Like a Christmas gift maybe. I think I got better chances hitting the lotto.

 

I got the one free one they handed out last year and bought a second one since the price was right... they might be st home but I still have the hat in the truck... It comes in very handy to cover the camera with once I clock SB time.
