No thanks... just had dinner... and the little popcorn pic got me in trouble last time.

So I'm swearing off popcorn... for a bit... ;-)

Perhaps this may sound a touch rude but, my response to him would be, "How is it you don't?"

Well, started with a DH to WA going down to Bakersfield, CA... got here right on time and they loaded me up within a half hour or so...

But I was backing up to a very small narrow ramp that I could not see behind me... the guy was "helping" by waving me back towards it... I bump the dock and he comes up and says I need to move the trailer to the right... I said "by how much"... uh, two feet... WHAT??? LOL ... he was back there just waving me back until I bumped the dock... THEN wanted me to move it over by two feet. It was muddy enough we could have tried to slide it to the right... LOL

    So I started over... LOL

I questioned just how much was back there... he said 44k... ok, hoping I can balance the load since I am going to CA with their short bridge law...

Closest CAT is 30 miles away in Spokane... drive down... scaled, hoping I don't need to slide anything.

    Nope... 5,000 lbs OVER...
I knew he was full of it!!!

Rolled back north... they closed at 2:30pm
So I'm parked behind the little local mom n pops gas station for the night waiting for them to reopen at 6:30am

    #### Brokered Loads!!!

But, lemons to lemonade, I will now be back on days and will enjoy the view while rolling down US 395 during daylight hours... :) ... it's only my second time out this far and I would certainly prefer to actually SEE the views.

Oh, and the shippers lot was a freaking mud pit... I commenting about it and laughed... he said, "this is ok for Fall, come back in the Spring if you want to go swimming." LOL

Believe me bro, I'm nothing special but trust me, from what I know about this one, he's not even close. I honestly don't think trucking is for him. But that's just my opinion of course.

Ok, but while that is true, I was impressed when you were driving all night every night from the word go... pretty good for such an old feller.

44k would have been a flag for me. I may be wrong but I don't think we can pull that much in CA with our rigs. At least in a Volvo, I think the max is 42k?
