If I had to talk to some of the crazies that are out there with us day in and day out....I'd be cranky eventually too!!![]()

It was a younger couple, I was the one not doing any talking for once due to the fact that I was truly pissed off about what was given to me and what I had to put my trainee and myself through because of their chosen off route. But, it's now in the past, we are 500 miles to the yard, Tim sent me my load home that's sitting on the yard, and instead of waking up to my trainees in the morning, I'll be waking up to my wife for 4 mornings, plus, instead of holding this steering wheel, I'll be holding her and doing things around my house.Lonesome and RebelChick Thank this.

Here's a first, albeit somewhat wrong, buy hey, it was the thought that counted. I got my reload coming off of hometime, a nice 1250 mile trip, the only problem is it loads on Monday, I don't come off hometime until Tuesday. It's the thought that counted.

Can't they have a local guy load the trailer for you? Assuming it picks up close to Zephyrhills. -
Sorry to hear the stories about Mike. I have always had very good interactions with him. I got a new truck assignment, 1415. Nice to have more room after all that time in a Mack.
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
After getting lost in Wyoming Michigan and stuck in the mud three times yesterday, today went much much better. Got up and left at 5am central for Mount Prospect for the 7am delivery. Johnboy, the GPS routed me through I 294 like you said, but I followed it and did not get on I 90 and followed the GPS from there. Got there on time, unloaded in 2 hours, waited almost an hour for reload and headed for Pro Pets in St. Mary's Ohio for a 42000 lb load going to Cloverdale/Roanoke VA for Monday pm. Presume that will go to Richmond as I can have it there late tomorrow afternoon. Waiting for DISPATCH to clarify. Load scaled out good and didn't touch the tandem. Spending the night at the TA on I 75 in Ohio at the 111 mm. Will sleep in a little bit as it is ten plus hours to Richmond and won't have much time left to go anywhere. Sleep well Abileenees. And friends of the blog, too.

Ugh! Those Macks are horrible! When I was in orientation, Sally said to make sure I wasn't assigned one. She said a girl needs her space and those trucks don't have any! LOLjungHo and Truckin' Monkey Thank this.

Not trying to be rude, but do you (drivers) have a choice as to which truck they assign you? What kind of truck do you drive, RC?

No. It's a broker load with a 505 mile deadhead.

Well, with all the adventure we had this week, why stop now? We are sitting on the side of I-64 104 miles from the yard waiting on a service truck to bring me a new trailer tire to replace the one scattered all over the interstate about a mile behind me. If I wasn't grossing 79k I would have driven to the terminal, but with this weight it's prudent to sit here with my thumb stuck up my behind. This is what I get for having my first real preplan.
