Depending on the area you're running and the load your assigned. I've had very good miles of 3000 a week. Last pay period I made 3000 miles over the whole two weeks. But I was off the road for a few extra days.
You aree very rarely ever preplan. Normally once you finish your drop they'll send you something or within a few hours they'll send you something. I don't think anyone's waited a couple days for a load before. There might be an exception out there but that would be a rare case I think.
Now to be completely honest, some drivers don't get as many miles as they want. That is true. But I think Abilene does a pretty good job of spreading most of the loads around. And yes some drivers do get more than others. But not everyone can be the quarterback of the team. FYI, I'm the Waterboy on the team.
And if you're out of Florida, not too many trucking companies hire out of there. It's either a problem getting you loads out of the state or getting loads to get you back home. Abilene has several drivers in Florida. Doesn't seem to be a problem for us. You may want to weigh that heavy in your decision.johnwayne187 Thanks this. -
As a direct response to your guarantee in weekly pay. Although I can appreciate having a safety net, I can't say I've ever earned less than six or $700 in a week. So I don't think you have that concern with Abilene. You're going to get a nice paycheck. It will vary from one paycheck to the next but you'll get a good paycheck … Depending on your definition of good paycheck… LOL
