How do you qualify for layover pay?. Do you just have to be sitting waiting on a load for a certain length of time?.

I wouldn't mind heading west...to Richmond as I'm looking at spending my 2nd night at a drop lot in VA beach with no facilities.

Agreed... it sure seemed like a bad fit for everyone... And I do hope he finds happiness and success in the next job.

Well, I got a call back... yes, it felt nice too. :)

Either someone put something in wrong or someone got two loads mixed up and put one ahead of the other.... LOL

And I have to admit I made a mistake too... (yes, it happens... lol) .... I was thinking today was the 5th instead of the 6th....

So I will wait here until midnight and go drop this trailer ... then go grab the other one heading back to Wytheville... I hope it's still there... LOL

That sucks and I'd be raising bloody hell about it.

It's pretty obvious this outfit has no need for more than a few teams, trainers and OTR drivers. Everything else is day cabs and regional. Pitty.

Nah, I don't do hell raising. All this sitting around is part of the experience I'm here to gain. Gives me plenty of time to reflect on what I like and dislike about general freight OTR.

If I'm still here in the morning I will be heading back to Walmart and picking up one of the game consoles I was eyeing up earlier. Just have to decide on PS4 or XB1...then worry about getting a load to pay for it after. :D

    MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

    You mean regional. ;)

Unless of course, they've redefined "OTR"

    MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

In this particular case it was a little bit of everything, the top two being my missed hometime and not needing a phone or QC to communicate with the unfortunate individual that happened to be on my receiving end.

    Redtwin and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
