I'm an ace when it comes to those nails. If the nails are old and have just been bent over don't even try to pull them as the heads will just snap off. I straighten them up then knock them side to side until they break off flush.

Day 3 at my favourite drop yard. I was hopeful that my DM would spring me today...until I got a text message saying they were off.

I am heading to Walmart soon to take care of my ablution, will decide on a PS4 or XB1(any recommendations?) when I get there as TV pretty much sucks. Something I had forgotten in the 6 months I went without one.

Have you delivered? I'd be jumping all over them to get me out of there. Delivered or not.

Okay, so I'm picking up a load of cheese to take to Boar's Head in Groveport. I'm just dropping the trailer there.

Lady here tells me I need a padlock or they'll refuse the load. Seems silly of me to buy a padlock to lock the trailer and then drop the trailer at the yard with my brand new padlock attached to it. Can anybody confirm that I actually need a padlock to drop a trailer at Boar's Head in Groveport?

Also: Once I drop the trailer, what do I need to do? Grab an empty? Bobtail out and wait for further instructions?

Need a lock on it just for transit. Once you drop it, remove your lock. And don't do anything when you drop. Most likely your next load will come out of there. If not they'll let you know what to do, but I'd bobtail out til next load assignment

Yes you need a padlock. You take the lock off when you drop it. After you drop just park with the other trucks accross from the guard shack and wait for next assignment.

Hooked my Aston PA load of paper rolls this morning at the yard. Trailer had a flat left rear outter. Good thing I got up early figuring to leave an extra 2 hours for 95 north traffic. Pulled the box over to the trailer shop just as folks were arriving this morning. Turned out the tire was fine but had a loose Maritor fitting which allowed it to leak over time. So chances are the driver that dropped it didnt do so with a flat. Took about an hour all in to air blast the bead back on and get it filled.

Thought the 2pm delivery might be late and even told dispatch as much on the macro notes. Much to my surprise, 95 wasn't really that bad today and I arrived at the con at 1:30. unloaded by 2:30 and DH'd back to drop the MT at Hill Phoenix. So not a bad turn for the day overall.

So, here I sit in the yard again tonight. Just cant wait to see what tomorrow brings ... lol :)
