I have only helped with one load and I have been here going on three years. I wouldn't be unloading that many. I came from Dollar Tree so I wouldn't have to unload. If I started doing a lot of unloading I would have to rethink it.

Rethinking is what I'm doing. I do really like it here but .... you know.
I got into trucking because my back folded after 38 years running my own construction company. So I'm not only not afraid of the work, but I sincerely miss it. But sadly, the back has full control now. So when looking for a company, no touch has to be top priority. I'll always do what needs to be done but it's a high price to pay and I have to be super careful cause one wrong move and I could be down for months or longer.
Just flat out sucks.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
Back pain is no joke. I have had muscle spasms in the back and I would be useless for a few days.MidWest_MacDaddy and chralb Thank this.

I'm completely missing the lowest 8 discs since 99. And I had 8 more years building homes on top of that. (That's how much I loved my work). So I have 8 sets of nerves being crushed 24/7 bone on bone with no medical help (long story there) .... yeah, back pain sucks. So do all the other pains radiating out through the body those nerves run to.
Oh what fun! LolEvomalo Thanks this. -
I dont normally complain. A few nails here and there and whatevers left by tye contractor i take care of. Gives me something else to do
I guess i wasnt in a good mood or something but that was the first time ive done that. I try to be very selective in those gripes -
Yea the back hurting is not like your arm or foot hurting. Everything is hooked to the torso so everything you do causes pain.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

I voted.....for my chocolate lab, great platform, eat, sleep, scratch his belly and walk on a leash.
Lonesome, MidWest_MacDaddy and bigred81 Thank this. -
Yup... ultimately on our shoulders...

Ya, I've luckily only had one bad trailer... and I try to inspect the trailer before I pull out from a HP drop since they are supposed to remove all the nails and already have the crowbar in hand most of the time.

They see it every time they bring you up on their screen.
