Yup... I didn't stay on the yard any longer than it took to find an empty and roll... didn't want to risk it and have someone change my Dispatch or something silly.... LOL

Well, the 22 msgs were about 3-4 about BH and the rest were all the auto send things about temp, being late, review BOLs, etc... LOL

I think they could combine a few of those.

In short, drop dry van to one customer here in OH, then hook at BH going to NC & FL the next two mornings.

I talked to a couple guys who used one to go up to Applebee's. They said it was much cheaper than a taxi and they would do it again.

 

Ya, I might have to just find a place to go to give it a test drive.... when I was back in IL for Dads Day I rented a car from "Enterprise" ... that worked out great since they are the company that "picks you up" ... they came to the Truck Stop and I rented a car for $10/day and they dropped me back off Monday morning back at the truck....

Taxi, Rental, Taxi.... boom, done

Was thinking about uber/lyft while at the yard or during a 34 in BFE, Montana should that ever happen.

 

Have probably used Uber 50 times...didnt have much need for a car till recently...it's great.

 

That's good to know about enterprise. I'll be needing a car when I take my home time in Chicago in April. New tattoo appointment I've been waiting a year for. Been waiting 20+ years for the actual tattoo. Wanted it done right.

Use Uber or Lyft car ride service. It's better & cheaper than a taxi cab.

 

Yes. My brother used both. He recommends either. I think Lyft gives new customers a few free rides (tip the driver, please) or $10 coupon for each of your first 3 trips. It's clean, fast, friendly. Often a free bottle of water & phone charging for passenger.
