A while back, i jokingly kidded you guys about becoming an Amazon hauler and you'd have to get used to the Dulles Toll Road. Last night I hit the last toll booth about 6:40 pm. I crossed into MD just after 8:00! An hour and 20 minutes to go about 12 miles!

 

Very Stoic ... if I have my philosophies correct.

 

I have stuff in a storage unit that I haven't been to in years. I keep telling myself I need to get rid of it. I'm afraid to go in it. It's probably a big spider haven by now. The last time I put something in it I saw a spider that was as big a tarantula. I was like let me get the hell out of here.

 

Be careful, it might be one of them " Brazilian wolf spiders".... I hear they have a nasty bite.

 

So you are basically paying rent for that spider.

 

Today was an interesting day...

Just in case anyone was wondering... do NOT use a RM730 GPS to go from Richmond to the Tree Farm... it ran me diagonal from the Flyin J in Wytheville (X80) toward the Tree Farm... trusting my GPS I went along for the ride... US Route to State Route to a barely double lane curvy road... then it wanted me to turn down some single lane country road....

I paused to consider my options, and reconsider my career choice, and a local stopped to say hello... LOL

Said I "could" take the road suggested by RM but suggested another longer but straighter road that I might like better... LOL

My first sign of trouble was a couple signs saying "No Truck Turn Around Ahead".... having no where to turn around I hoped for the best.... then two signs on churchs kindly telling truckers to stay off their parking lots... LOL

One of those roads where your left steer is over the center line while your right trailer tandems were off the edge of the road... LOL

BUT DANG IT WAS PRETTY COUNTRY!!!!

Found the tree farm.... they had a solid pack of trucks there all day... three abreast and seven deep.... ALL DAY.... I arrived at 8am and pulled out after 3pm.... ugh

All in all; it was an interesting day...
