Got my 2 drops off today in Tigard and Salem Oregon. The roads in Wyoming finally opened up at 9am local time yesterday, as soon as word spread, I went into the truck stop and sat down for breakfast. I learned a long time ago that I don't need to be around a stampede of wild truck drivers all making a mad dash across Wyoming. About an hour after the roads opened we left. It was a little messy from Cheyenne to Laramie, and then across Elk Mountain. Once I passed Walcott Junction the roads were nice and dry. We stopped for fuel in Wamsutter where I ended my clock and Tim started his. We left Cheyenne with 1180 miles to our first drop. Tim drove his full shift, and ended his day at the P.O.E in Oregon. I took over at 1am and made it to Stanfield Or, took a 2 hour nap, then got to our first drop an hour early. We were done at 10 am in Tigard then drove down to Salem for the second drop. That went to a residence and it was quite comical putting this truck in a residential area. The drop only took us a half hour.

My clock ran out as we were finishing in Salem. Tim took over and drove up to the Pilot in Ferndale Washington at the 262 mile marker. I'm leaving here at 3am local time to cross the border, clear customs and make my drop in downtown Vancouver. Tim is going to wait for me in the truck stop, I should be back by 10am. I told him if he wants, to get a motel room across the street and hang out there, he said it would be alright as long as they had coffee. I left him $75 just in case he changed his mind. Right now it's time for bed. God Bless and be safe all.

It was always fun running residential and some apartment complexes when I was with United Van

I was going to say, Welcome to my world JB, so glad I don't have to do that much any more, but driving into DC was always a stomach twister until an old timer gave me the secret, drive down the middle of two lanes! lol

A Mack! George was assigned a Mack! Please let it be super temporary! I've been anxiously waiting to ride with him (next time he goes out). Not with a Mack.

I couldnt even imagine going all over in a small truck with the hubby. I went with mine with his other company and it seem like we was in each other way bc it was just no room. Mine got a Volvo and he loves it and should be getting a different one soon bc his is a 2011. He loves the space he has and when I do go with him we will have room unlike with his other company. Good luck going out on the room with your hubby

I had a MACK daycab, and loved it! It was a 2013, and I hated to give it up for the 2014 Cascadia I drive now.

Me too. Had a 2012 Pinnacle with the mDrive and love the daylights out of it. Good truck. Great sight lines, seating position, and overall comfort driving (for me anyway). If I were at Abilene, I'd be requesting one of the Macks.

The only things I got against a MACK is, only one bed and very little storage space. I'm in 1357 for the time being. The 2013 Macks do not have an inverter so I had to buy one at the Pilot close to the terminal. One with just enough wattage to power my microwave. Also had to get extra wiring kit so that maintenance can install it. Geez over $100 for the inverter and the wiring kit to power my $50 microwave from Wal-Mart. Sucks that I did all the legwork for this. Been here all day dealing with. On the plus side, the truck has a Webasto heater. But I'm 5'6'' on a good day and still cracked my head on the lip separating the sleeper from the driving area. Still a wasted day. What did the previous driver do for warm food??
