Good atmosphere over here . Can't wait for orientation next week

 

One of our bigger customers has a DC there... we haul in a truck load of their product from other facilities and then they usually find us a back haul out of there or BT us out.

 

It's beautiful out there... after training I have only been west twice and both times it was out up north and then back via the southern route... so I got a very nice mix of many states as opposed to just running I40 back and forth.

It was like a freaking vacation both times!!!

Still the best part of trucking to me is seeing this beautiful country and getting paid to do so.

 

Let's fix that ok?

You right about that driver . Best decision I ever made was getting my cdl . Do they give you your own hotel room in orientation?

 

Yes, with free breakfast at the hotel and lunch is provided at the office... dinner is on your own and if you like a simple hole in the wall biker bar environment, I suggest the Roadhouse which is walking distance from the hotel.

 

Dear Abilene Motor Express,

The Safety Department, and specifically the company line that "communication is unnecessary and inefficient" may have just cost you the "Company Cheerleader".

On a more positive note, you might end up with one less driver with which to communicate so that's a good thing, right?

Woke up this morning in Wytheville.

Going to bed tonight also in Wytheville.

In between I took some forklift parts to Berea, KY and then got a deadhead back.

Not a bad day.
