Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Boy does that bring back memories. Way back when I remember wrapping up hot dogs in tin foil and putting them on the exhaust manifold along with a can of beans, 30 minutes down the road to the next rest area, done, a meal for the ages.

 

Left Tim at the truckstop early this morning then went into BC. I was in after clearing customs and at my drop at 7am. I was done at 7:30 and back at the border at 9am. Again, crossing back in the US takes an act of congress to get back into MY country. The Canadians welcomed me with open arms, the Americans didn't want me back, go figure, anyway, picked Tim up and headed down to Tangent Oregon to load a load going to Jersey. I'll be switching out with someone someplace to get back to Richmond. Time to hit the road, all loaded and getting ready to leave.

Urghhhh......just woke up after driving all night. Here it is just about 1pm and time to have breakfast. Tim is doing great, he took over at the Loves in Ontario Oregon at 4am, and right now we are about 8 miles from Little America Wyoming on route 30. Looking at his clock I have 3:40 left to watch Wyoming go by from my bed.
