I have a 2014. No such option on mine. Don't know about the Frieghtshakers.

    You hate cold weather???
You hid it so well... :D

Thoughts and prayers for you to get home safely and address the issues you are facing... like you said, maybe with a bit of time it will work its way out... not always fun out there for sure.

That's a shame your in a 14. If every new hire didn't get a brand new truck and damage it within 2 months, maybe hard runners like yourself would have a newer one. I still to this day, do not understand why Bill does that... all for show I guess

"Mountain Mode" is a running joke between @5speed and myself referring to the "Manual" setting on the shifter. Sorry for any confusion.

Probably because an experienced driver knows how to care for an older truck.

I'm sure he does, but still. Instead of repairs to new equipment that could be a raise

I really like my truck (largely cause it still has the joystick shifter .. lol) but, Not too happy with all the cosmetic flaws it came with from previous driver(s). But I took it from a broken down POS that wouldn't even start or run and have slowly worked many of the kinks out. It's a good rig but still needs some TLC in a few areas.

But it tracks true, breaks straight, doesn't leak or burn a drop of any fluids and (now) is quite clean and comfortable inside. Part of this whole "killing 3 birds with one stone" weekend my DM and a planner helped me with was, helping my lady, getting a reset and getting some things on the truck fixed. So far I'm still 2 outta 3. As far as I know as of this morning, it hasn't made the shop yet. My DM is checking on that.

I put it in for the incorrect idle issue (a big one) Headlights (they work but very cloudy now), A pretty good air leak (Been chasing many of them down), The shift points are all messed up in auto mode (That's new), The power is WAY down and Jake works intermittently (Had this before. Always a nice surprise starting down a hill and the two ARE related), and my QC stopped working on tracking my hours (HOS sensor failure) so if I drive it, I have to run paper logs. Funny thing is, On my last trip from Groveport to the yard before this weekend, I was pulled over in Ohio by the DOT for a level 2 inspection. We went thru the logs and know there's an issue. But I got a clean bill of health. :D

Yeah, I was told that manual mode is disabled. I brought up the issue of descending grades and it going into eco roll and the suggestion was to momentarily switch engine brake on and off. I would have to constantly switch it on and off multiple times and hope I am not on a slick spot when I switch it on.

Sounds sketchy to me, but what do I know.
