Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I got a 1200 mile run, picks up tomorrow and delivers...... Christmas day.

 

Well never a dull day here. Started at the md de line at 0345 and 618 miles and 10 hrs 15 min driving time later i sit in SC on way to GA. Dropped load on yard and Chris gave me a choice to take a break and wait on something going north or go to GA.

Surprised at my miles today because the last 130 or so seemed to be stop and go, or slow and go. Or my favorite...lets all try to race up the hill and creep down the hill and try to cut the big truck off...not like hes 76k or anything.....also thankful for the auto today, though i still want a stick.

Come back to truck from shower and saw a message...figured a fleetwide msg, but instead it was a preplan! Drop hook on both ends target stuff. Savannah to Indy.

Looks like ill be spending Christmas in the truck somehere, though beats spending it with people whos holiday isnt complete without a visit or two from the boys and girls in blue.....

 

Me either... never in the same State when those grills fire up.

 

...and so did the doctor.....

 

I got the same load picking up tomorrow, looks like they are backed up with runs to that DC. My first thought was to try dropping early, but keep getting the feeling that would be pointless as its possible nothing will be happening before Monday anyway.

we don't get paid to listen to them... LOL

I would still rather have this job too.

 

Don't forget that not all the ######## they view belong to older men. I bet they see a few that makes for all the other hairy ones.
