Still shut down here in ID. going on 6.5 hours now. Gonna take a nap and finish a second 10 at this point. Hopefully they'll open 84 by then. If it all works out I'll still make delivery. Just not the way I'd hoped.

You're pretty optimistic thinking the state is going to send crews out on a golden time day.

Yes, I am. :D They just opened the road. In 23 minutes my 10 is up and I roll. Unless there's another screw up ahead, the load will be there 5 hours ahead of time. ;)

A little optimism never hurts. :)

After the road opened and I rolled out, my windshield washers crapped out. Stopped at a Love's to check it out and found a hole in the passenger side washer line. Of course it was right at the joint of the arm and the mount (behind the spring) which meant removing the whole thing to get at it. Love's didn't have the parts I needed so I called 150 miles down the line to the TA in Boise and they did. Drove there (stopping to clean glass a couple times) and got what I needed. Took my 30 minute break to fix it and make coffee and lunch. Rolled out to finish the trip.

So, the load went off well and I was docked 4.5 hours early. Rather tired from my schedule being messed up with two back to back ten hour breaks but, that's trucking! :) These folks are quick and had me empty in less than 15 minutes. Rolled to the Flying J in Aurora OR where I sit now for a broker load to grab in the morning. I'll get a reset in as well so some laundry and a shower are calling.

Only thing is, no answer at the number given for the broker and 2 others I found on Google. I can only leave a message which I've done twice. Told dispatch about it and they said the number they gave me is all they have. I'm guessing (hoping) it's just due to the holidays. I'll keep trying today and in the morning. If I get it, it runs down to El Cajon, CA for a LUL on the 29th at 7am. We'll see .....

Sure feels nice being out west again. :)

Well its been a busy busy few days for me. Thursday am was at the md de line and dropped that load on yard. Chris gave ms the option of waiting around for something to be ready going north or go to outside atlanta for friday am. So atlanta it was. Then savannah, then indianapolis, then wytheville, then greenville sc, tonight brazelton ga them memphis tn. Then hopefully working back to richmond by thursday.

One of the things that really bugs me about other drivers is how some just pass their problems on to the next guy to deal with. Had 2 recently. One someone forgot what a tape measure is.....

The other one pickup a empty in indy, ive got no tail lights working, but hazards are flashing, top marker lights all around work, right side flasher doesnt work. Go to ta so i can get it fixed and take a break. Mechanic tells me that that trailer at some point had a blowout, which damaged the electrical line, causing a short. Someone then tried to fix it by jumping circuits in the nose box causing more shorts and melting. Per the tech nome of this looked new......

Also if one were to get the crazy notion to replace one of the rear led tail lights atleast on the trl i had. They are rivited in and the backside is a welded box. Took the tech awhile trying to break and drill rivets, fyi

At this point I've given up complaining about it. Can't count the times I've had to deal with it. All I can do is never join them in leaving a problem for another driver to deal with. I write em up, red tag them and that's about all we can do. But yeah, some folks just don't care.
