How they are still in business, considering their general incompetence, is a mystery.

3 drops yesterday, Houston, Sugarland, Laredo and 355 miles of driving. Reloaded 4 miles from my last drop and wasted the 4 hours left on my clock. Got a nice 2025 miles run to Mt. Vernon NY. What's so special about Mt. Vernon? That's where I grew up. It's been 43 years since I've been back, really looking forward to seeing the old stomping ground. I told my wife I'll need to get that old NY attitude out of mothballs.

If it's been in mothballs, they must have gone old and stale some time ago. :p ... lol

    Enjoy the flashbacks while visiting.
Maybe take a 34 there just for the heck of it.

Speaking of New York, I drove past the remnants of this yesterday morning while driving back from Canandingua, NY:

    http://m.thetimes-tribune.com/news/single-lane-open-after-i-81-crash-1.2140832

Apparently two semis and a single four wheeler were involved. You know it was a bad crash when they bring a roll-off dumpster to the crash site to help clean up the wreckage.

A few minutes after I passed the crash site, I passed the flatbed hauling away the remains of one of the semis. It looked pretty bad. Bad enough that I don't imagine the driver made it out alive.

Stay safe out there, my friends.

Excluding Extremes post, Abilene must have a lot of freight no ones had time to post, not even MD! For us faithful followers it's been pretty boring lately! :(

The chatty one is on vacation so the thread is on life support until his return.

I am having a pretty bad week and would rather lay low.

Welp, for the first time since I got out of training 3.5 months ago, I have been given a trip out west. Richmond to Chula Vista. HP load to a Wal-Mart under construction.

Stopped in Crossville, TN for the night. Had another one of those nights where I just couldn't seem to get parked. Couldn't get set up right, didn't have enough turn room, couldn't hit the slot, etc etc. Finally gave up and parked in a reserved spot because my blood sugar was going low.

Some days I think I got it. Other days I don't. More the former than the latter these days, though, so that's good.
