Started my driving shift this morning in Ohio. Ended my driving shift in Ohio. In between I went to Wytheville and swapped an empty trailer for a full one. Got a hot date in Columbus at 8:00am tomorrow to offload some exercise equipment.

Question for those of you who run CA (@JohnBoy) frequently. Is the Pilot in Hesperia the last place to park before getting down to the Colton yard? Just in case the traffic is too bad when I get down that way. Do want to get all the way there, but as we all know stuff happens.

Not really. There's a Denny's at the Palm Ave exit on 215 halfway between Hesperia and Colton with truck parking.

JohnBoy never has to worry about parking. He is so good he can park it in any space as long as a sheet paper still fits on each side of his truck.

When I am King of the Universe, one of the first laws I will enact will be that all warehouses which handle tractor-trailer traffic must have clearly marked shipping and receiving doors. None of this driving around the entire warehouse trying to guess which one of the 20 unmarked doors is the shipping and/or receiving office.

    Not that I'm bitter.

(I will also pass a law making it illegal to sell stuff for $x.95 or $x.45. Every price must be evenly divisible by 0.50.)

I get through more quarters doing laundry now than I ever did back in the 80s during my arcade game days.

Welcome to trucking!! I love it when you make a plan, get to where you're supposed to, when (you think) you're supposed to, and dispatch has made changes and didn't tell you.

Stopped at the Pilot in Hesperia last night because I only had an hour to drive and there were 4-count 'em-4 accidents within 15 miles ☹️ on the 15 before the 215 split. So, no way I was going to make it without going into violation. Glad I was heavy too because the wind was KICKING from the storm front coming through.

Got dinner at the Outpost-burnt ribs and corn on the cob and soggy fries-got money back. I was surprised since the other 2 times I've eaten there, the food was good. So much for dinner.

Went to bed way early to make my 3 am delivery. Get to the receiver- sometime between the time I left Friday morning and now, the appointment was changed to tomorrow at 3 am. Glad I grabbed a shower before I got on the road this morning. Or I'd be even more than I already am.

I'll say it again, WELCOME TO TRUCKING!!!

I was at the pilot in Hesperia last night as well. They sure don't leave you much wiggle room at the HP in Chino
