Ok I saw no other trucks all I saw was a motel next to it. Must have been on the other side.

I never get a reset. Thanks for the advice. God it's fun to learn even from my own mistakes. Gotta keep a closer watch on my 70. But I must admit, don't mind a little forced downtime.

Well, after the debacle last night, I got up at 4 am (as soon as my 10 was up), went in and took a shower and headed back to my truck. Bo was outside smoking and called me over. Wanted to give me ANOTHER Hall's load. Also told me that Higgins sent out an email about what happened yesterday but didn't tell me what it said. He did, however, tell me that I was correct in that I didn't have the hours to run it. Come to find out, there was a driver on the yard taking his break that took it. Imagine that. Anyway, it was either take this load or deal with Higgins again, so, 3 guesses as to where I am. Oh, and will have to cancel my dentist appointment for tomorrow morning because I can't get back tonight and they close early on Fridays. So, rescheduled for Monday. Plus putting my truck in the shop for stuff that has been piling up and now needs to be done. So, I'm going to be off tomorrow thru Monday. They just won't know it until tomorrow. Hey, it's their screw up. And this tooth keeps breaking and it's a front tooth, so I kinda need that one! This is only the 2nd time, I think, that I haven't been home on time and I'm pretty sure no matter what load I got it was going to be messed up. That's just my luck. Oh, and there are some damaged cases on this load and the guy is super slow. Been here since 1330 and it's 1615 now. If Abilene thinks I'm going to get up at 2330 and drive back to the yard, they are nuts! Even if I did, I'd miss my appointment. And I'm a cranky crabby witch when I have to drive at night! LOL

I wait until I get home for home time to approve my logs. It's one of the rituals along with cleaning out the fridge and stripping my bed. That way I make sure I go off duty as well. Started doing that when I forgot to go off duty and was on duty for 64 hours!

    gntorres61 Thanks this.

Well I finally got dispatched at noon. I'm sitting down in pompano beach trying to get a load of cantaloupes on this trailer. I also got a preplan. I have to drop this trailer at the yard tomorrow night and hook onto a loaded trailer going to riverside cal for Monday morning.

I need to swing by the house after I leave here to pick up my food that I left behind. I'm planning on staying out until Memorial Day weekend.

Lonesome and The Challenger Thank this.

I've had 6 days off every other week for the last 2 months. I have something important I need to be home for Memorial Day weekend. This assures me I'll be home.

Ok Johnboy, hope it all works out. That's a lot of consecutive time out on the road, that's all I'm saying. BB found the manual for the truck. Rebelchick, no way to treat a lady. Currently here at Bosselmans at the 104 waiting to get a headlight replaced and my trailer lights to come on. Paul Revere needs his lights like Lady Godiva needs her headlights. Oops.
