    The only issue I had going to Canada was dealing with US customs on the way back. I think the main characteristic they look for when hiring those guys is a general hatred of other humans.

    Well I'm the one here with a few other of our trucks having the hoedown. I'm not going to vent, rant or flip out, I've done that all day. All I'll say is they are working on the 5 of us to bring this crap back to Richmond. Here is my last QC message to dispatch. There's been a bunch of these today.

    Am I going to spend another night at this god forsaken rat hole? You might want to ask whoever it is that's getting this mysterious invoice that's missing if he or she would mind sitting like an animal with no basic facilities. I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous.

    Not really... they are reimbursing you a portion of your OTR Expenses... since it's not income there is nothing to withhold from it.

    They are just not reimbursing you for the full amount which then means you can claim the additional unpaid portion off your income taxes.... or not if you don't wish to hassle with it.

    Actually it's the opposite ... since you have extra deduction coming you could actually decrease the amount of witholdings so you have more in your check and less refund at the end of the year... assuming one gets a refund.

    So now we get a QC message telling us to head back to Richmond. Really? 3 issues with that, the Peace Bridge doesn't accept cash anymore, just a border crossing transponder. The alternate crossing is through Canada about 60 miles. No can do, not allowed, and finally, we can't enter back into the US loaded without proper paperwork, which we don't have. This reminds me of the Tom Hanks movie, "The Terminal"
