I'm only hauling 11,000 pounds, so I'm not TOO worried about it. Still, it is a legendary hill for a reason, so it never hurts to be cautious. Will definitely be taking John's advice.

Six of us Abilene trucks here at the warehouse in Portland. Five of them spent all day yesterday at a grocery store under construction without being unloaded. The contractors wouldn't unload them for some reason. This morning they were told to bring their loads here.
I was actually routed here directly from Richmond. My BOL had this as the delivery address. I was the first one here this morning. My Qualcomm load assignment said that my appointment was 8:00am, and I got here at 7:30am.
It is now 1:30pm and I am just now getting unloaded. And I'm the first one in the dock. The receiver said that he doesn't have any appointments for any Abilene trucks, so he had to take all the other trucks (who had appointments) first.
Fortunately, the day is still young and I should be able to find parking nearby at the World's Classiest Truck Stop (or so a billboard on I-84 informed me)MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
