I'm sure it was an arrangement that was made during the hiring process. I'm also sure they would quit if you forced them to go there.

 

Had no idea what I was getting loaded with or how much it weighed, else I would have.

Here's how things currently stand with 1/4 tank of gas:



By my calculations, I can put 25 gallons of fuel in the tank without breaking the legal limit...

 

Or break out the atlas, find the scales along your route and do some more calculations.

 

So let them quit! Steering wheel holders. I don't like going to the any of the burrows, but I do it, it's part of being a PROFESSIONAL

 

Yeah, that's what I've been doing the past half hour. I have found a route that avoids most of the weigh stations in California by going down US395. Unfortunately, that route also seems to avoid all the truck stops and gas stations. And being able to refuel seems vital to my continued success...

 

I meant more to figure out mileage between scales and figure out fuel usage to be able to add more than 25 gallons at a time.

 

We were informed in orientation in no uncertain terms that we were not to fuel in neither Cali nor Florida, ever. Been a year though. Has that changed?

 

Egad, man, that sounds almost like work!

 

It beats walking or making that call saying you ran out of fuel. Or a ticket for that matter.

 

I was speaking in jest, my man. I am trying to figure out my options even now.
