Think I'd be calling the bank and then Abilene ASAP. Never had an issue with the deposit.

Something weird is going on, just checked now and the money is there but listed as a wire transfer not the usual Abilene payroll etc.
Maybe they forgot process my payroll earlier and did a last minute wire transfer?. Nah, doesn't sound likely.Crusader66 Thanks this. -
And so! Here I sit at the Pilot in Castaic, CA. Got the last free parking spot. My 10 will be up at 2:49am local time, and I plan on being rolling by then so I can be on the other side of L.A. before people wake up and get in my way.
Riding the fuel gauge turns out to be less difficult than I imagined. I stopped at the Pilot in Orland, CA and weighed myself. Came in at 79,320 with the needle at slightly below 1/4 tank. That's 680 lbs available for fuel, and using the 1 gallon of diesel = 8 lbs conversion, that's 85 gallons of fuel that'll put me at the legal limit.
Then I used my GPS to find out how far it was to the next weigh station. GPS said 211 miles. I was going to assume a fuel mileage of 6 mpg, but JohnBoy suggested that I use 6.5 mpg instead. So I did, and that allowed another 32 gallons. So 117 gallons all told. And then I shaved off 7 gallons just to be on the safe side.
So I put 110 gallons in the tanks and rolled out about 200 lbs overweight, and headed southwards. And I was a little worried, because the fuel gauge was between 1/2 and 3/4, and that seemed high. But nothing I could do about it now.
Eventually, I started seeing signs for the weigh station. "Here we go!" I thought. "Time to find out if my math was right!"
Naturally, the weigh station was closed.
But a mile past that was an exit with two truck stops. And I said "Man, I just GOTTA KNOW!" So I pulled off to weigh and see if I woulda been legal.
And, welp...

The problem is that the items in question are wet from sitting out in the rain. So they're probably closer to 45,200.
