The SB scale at Santa Nella is usually closed about 95% of the time. I generally only worry about dunsmuir and wheeler ridge heading south.

    Redtwin and ExtremeUnction Thank this.

Just to update, that incoming wire transfer was my payroll deposit. Thing is my bank charges $15 for wire transfers so I basically had to pay in order to get paid.

I will definitely call payroll on Monday to find out what happened there. My only guess is that somehow my pay wasn't processed when it should have been which led to the wire transfer. I would much rather have waited until next payday for the money than have to pay $15 through no fault of my own.

I bet, if requested, they will reimburse you that $15... just ask.

    Redtwin Thanks this.

    Missed that news.

Oh, was that the one that was on auto pilot when another car struck it and made it roll over?

Maybe I did read about that.

    Redtwin Thanks this.

It's not so much that I want the money back, I just dont want it to happen again. Kinda took the shine of my highest ever settlement here.

Okay, so I think it's high time that I get a microwave for my truck, as part of my on-going efforts to combat the expansion of my butt and my gut.

Question: My truck does not have 110v outlets, only the 12v "cigarette lighter" outlets. What do I need to put in a microwave? Do they make microwaves with 12v plugs? I'm guessing they don't, because I've looked for 'em in truck stops and have never seen one. And you'd figure that if they existed, truck stops would sell 'em.

So I guess I need an inverter?

    What else do I need?

You need a 700 watt microwave and a 1500+ watt hardwired inverter. I would suggest idling the truck during microwave use. Oh, and a good surge protector to plug it into.

What kind of truck do you drive? I thought all of Abilene trucks had inverters with the exception of Macks.

That's what I was thinking, too. If it's a Volvo, take out the top drawer and the plug is behind there for the microwave (and in the closet). Don't know about the other types of trucks.
