So by the sound of it, there's a LOT of LTL. Is there any incentive pay for picking up the stupid ####? Like shopping carts, etc?
-
Abilene doesnt play pay games. A cpm for practical mileage, 25 for each extra stop, 50 for nyc, 10.cpm bonus for maryland north pennsylvsnnia east. There is some extra pu or stop loads but the large majority are not extra stops.
Abilene is no touch freight. Drive, bunp dock, drive, bump dock, drive, drop hook, drive wash rinse repeat.
We drive in a world designed for cars, Just take whatever space you think ya need.
@Dsparil living in pa you should get home for 34 most weekends. The 34 is kinda a gentlemens agreement so if you really really really need to be home for a specific day then you should ask for it. I live in richmond and have made it home for almost all of my weekends. Hometime has never been an issue. As a conpany there isnt a ton of freight moving in the NE on the weekends.Redtwin, Drivencrazy and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
I've been driving for six months now and I've only had three trailers with extra stops. I'll take that extra $25 per stop. That ain't a problem.

Nice summary... and I agree... fairly straightforward... you drive, you get paid.
Sure you might need to stay on top of some things but for the most part it's rather black n white... others mileage may vary. -
It was 12 or so years ago so I can't remember what exit I took. After looking at the map. I remember being on Willow Ave. Then I had to turn right on 14th street. Then turn right on Jefferson Street. Finally I turned right on to 16th street.
During the times you deliver. There are no cars parked on 16th from where Jefferson ends into 16th.
It wasn't bad getting there at that point. Typical city driving for any city. The fun came when you had to back down 16th street to the dock.
As I remember it. There were 2 people spotting me. Soon as I was able to get past the building on the left (across from Pan American Coffee). I was able to back straight in. Pulling out of the dock wasn't nearly as bad. I pulled forward to the left and backed up a little. Then pulled forward some more. -
$25 per stop is pretty good. That is the highest I have ever head of. I think the most I have ever had was $15.
-
@Drivencrazy that coffee place is crazy. That woild qualify as my worst pu or del, but thankfully havnt had one that bad.
-
$25 for an extra stop, not per stop. a load with 2 destinations pays $25 extra. 3 destinations $50 extra.
Most I have done is a six stopper for an extra $125.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
Pickle run. 11 stops. Loved the money, the stops were BH distributors. In FL. A little tight.Redtwin and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
