Most of the time you will keep moving. As for west, luck of the draw? There are a few that seem to get those loads. Personally, I've mainly been in the north. Some tx and one time to nv and ca.

Not sure about rider. I did have my son's now ex on the truck. But it was just to pick her up to move in with us.

Yes to the first part of your question. They will keep you rolling. Maybe not west coast, but at the end of our 2 week pay period it will be 6000+ miles. I'm pretty sure they allow spouse, child and significant other.

Just got my 2 drops off here in Sparks, both drops where literally across from the Petro, which is where I'm at right now going over my reload that was sent to me. I have to pick up at the Mirage Resort and Convention center in Vegas this evening. It's going back to Richmond but they're having me drop it in our Colton yard. It's only a partial load so my thinking is they will fill out the trailer down there, I'll be picking up a produce load out of Walmart going to Gordonsville.

Colton/Walmart must have relaxed their rules about hauling out of that facility heading back east of the Mississippi River? I use to be a planner on a Walmart Dedicated account that hauled out of Colton DC, we could only have Teams on those runs and the delivery dates were tight. How long have you hauled out of WCC/Colton as a solo?

As a solo this will be my third time. The last two , back in the fall, were repowered to a team, once in Albuquerque and once in Amarillo, if you are correct, which I'm sure you are, then the same will be happening again. The only difference is the lack of produce trucks available with this being produce shipping time. I'll let you know tomorrow what happens.

Now, John, not everyone gets those kinds of miles all the time. But, at least 5000 would be a more appropriate number. Mine run anywhere between 5000 and 6200. On a good pay period. This one, not so much. Running reefers with live loading and unloading SUCKS. Took 4.5 hours last night to load 26,000. Really? Geez! Ran out of time, missed delivery appt, so guess who gets to sit on this until tomorrow at 9 am, where it will probably take at least 3 hours to unload. Nope, not even irritated about it. But, so far I have 1300 miles and tomorrow is Friday. I came back out Tuesday after they didn't get me home for my dental appointment on Friday. But still...It's all good.

you are correct, that's why I told him what I do, I can't tell him what anyone else does, just my numbers. Today when I'm done will be 3500 miles plus 4 extra drops since I left the yard Saturday at 1pm.

Just curious, did you ever hear back from your trainee? Is he continuing with Abilene, or going somewhere else?
