I wouldn't want to share my truck with anyone, man or woman, and I'm single with no-one to approve or deny a student.

I just like having my own space, hard for me to understand what people mean when they say OTR is a "lonely" field, best part of the job is when I don't have to see or speak to anyone while on the road.

That's exactly what Ms. Tall Drink of Fine in the guard shack there told me when she advised me of the change some months ago.

 

When does this tall drink of fine work there?. Never seen anyone in there that would pass for either.

 

There's a young lady that subs there from time to time, reddish hair. She's a hoot, when she decides to open up and talk.

 

yep when I use to go to both places it would be 3-4 hours for two pallets.

 

Excellent suggestion runningman. Pulled in here with 4 minutes left after 739 miles. Denver was crazy, weather over Vail was a tad nasty especially shooting out the west side of the tunnel. And I'm reasonably convinced 8 of 10 drivers were stoned .... lol

 

Unless it's very tight of course, i actually prefer backing with the tandems all the way back. It reacts a touch slower but where you put those tires is where the back of that box is going. Everyone has their comfort zone of course.
