The sweeping part was ok, pulling the 30 nails wasn't ok.

Sorry for the phone tag JB. I was running around. I was a day ahead of myself and thought you may be in last night. I got caught up scrubbing my Green Machine shiny. Then yapping with Uturn and Deuces.

I was assigned one, they then cancelled it for whatever reason, which didn't bother me one bit. This load I just delivered was one of the easiest, nicest, stress free loads I've done in a long time. Empty in Monroe Nc waiting on dispatch to figure out what they are going to do with the 4 of us, again, was it a surprise we showed up here today? I mean they only knew about us since last Friday while getting loaded in California.

I was 16 hours into a reset and sent a message into Tim to let him know I wanted to finish it. I'll be ready to go at 5am. Meanwhile I got a dead head move to our Wytheville yard to pickup a load in the morning that delivers in Corydon Indiana tomorrow night at 7pm. This works out just fine, I'll be back Friday night/Saturday morning to end my 7400 mile pay period.

so you guys are home every other weekend? if a man wasnt really worried about home time, do you think the miles would be there for a solo driver? i also read about the state taxes... any info on that?

They will run you as long as you have hours. I've been working off my recap and figured I was about half way through a reset and decided to just finish the reset. I actually pick up plenty of hours the next week, but will be picking up my student Saturday and want all the hours I can get. Our pay period starts at midnight this Saturday night, for the 2 weeks to the day of this pay period I've been gone, I will have ran 7400 miles with 4 extra stops thrown in. I've heard about the state tax issue but don't know the exact particulars, my state doesn't have a state income tax so it's a non-issue for me. My thinking is if they don't take out for your state you'll just pay it at tax time, if you are diligent in putting that money on the side.

Hmmm...7400 miles...hee hee... Cant wait to see the explanation on how you did that one!! But then again I already know.
Weve run 1450 in two days now. With taking a 10hr break the both of us. Not bad for the NE huh?

I've sat more at customers this past 7 days than I have total in my first 3 months here. As one of my friend always says a drivers time means nothing to a customer but let them get a pay cut and see what happens.

You aren't kidding. I sat for at least 4 hours at 4 different places. Reefer loads. Also, another first for me, I hauled the same trailer from the time I came off home time on 4/29 until today. That's 9 days. What in the world? Again live loading/unloading reefer loads. Ugh. I'm supposed to be home Friday night, but think I might miss it. I'm way short on hours. Going to have to see what I can brainstorm on this!
