So don't chat, I think you will find that the trainers would appreciate the peace and quiet also.
Pay attention, buckle down and concentrate on learning as much as possible and training won't be as long as you might think.JohnBoy, RoadCall and Rocknroller4 Thank this. -
Oh hell no, I agree. You're doing well right where you are.
The one place I wouldn't look forward to with Abilene would be Boars Head in Brooklyn. I was born and raised in that city but that doesn't mean I enjoy driving a truck up there lol. What can you do, nothing's perfect -
Was wondering why I kept getting no beeps today as well. I guess I'll be picking mine up when I get to the yard tomorrow. Thank goodness the scale on 77 was closed this morning, or I might've had an issue!JohnBoy Thanks this.

Being Western Express I highly doubt they are paying detention like that. Id almost guarantee its $10 an hr after probably 2hrs which is absurd. As for not getting amount you put in for well thats BS too. I was at a customer last week for 1hr 45mins, and within 15miles I had a qualcom message saying $5 in detention on that trip lol. And its like that everytime. I dont put in for detention the office is on top of it which is how it should be. If a company is going to state they pay detention it should be paid with no hassle.

Yeah, from what I can gather talking to John and others, it seems the pre pass side is already off but the easy pass is still working for tolls. Guess they don't want a bunch of toll running tickets to deal with ... lol
But my guess is, the easy pass account will remain open because it's not being replaced. But the prepass is probably a different account now that all scales will be handled by the one unit.JohnBoy and RebelChick Thank this. -
The 3 weeks with John went fast. But they ran us so hard and efficiently, beyond the first week and a half was pretty much just a blur anyway. LolJohnBoy Thanks this.

Another thing to notice about @Redtwin 's numbers: He averaged 2700 paid miles/week.
I dunno how that compares to most other companies, but my buddy who worked at PTL said he only averaged 2100 paid miles/week, which makes that .42/mile he was getting seem less impressive. He made less per week than Redtwin, despite getting paid more per mile.MidWest_MacDaddy, Lonesome, chralb and 3 others Thank this. -
More CPM and less miles per week would suit some people, but not me. The best part of the job is driving (imagine that, a truck driver that likes driving), sitting around doing nothing is no fun at all.
