She is short on hours. This is why I calculate my hours 6 days out when I have my dr's appts so I know I'll have the hours to cover me rolling after midnight.

I'll miss the nice Abilene trailers in my part of the neighborhood. Saw an mty dry van yesterday night. It appears (key word) Publix is done using it. I'll admit, out of the carriers I see around here, Abilene has one of the nicest looking liveries out there on both tractor and trailer. I'm used to seeing Werner, Swift, Heartland, and a couple of others. Be safe out there.
BigBrin Thanks this. -
Days don't matter when you are 17 hours from home and you have 15 hours to legally drive. I have faith in my fleet manager and sometimes stuff happens, which I understand in this business, which is why flexibility is key. And since you posted this 9 hours ago, it's Thursday, therefore I don't have two and a half days until Friday night. I have 11 hours today. 6 of those I will use to get to my delivery. That leaves 5 hours. I then have to get to wherever they send me to pick up. How long will that take? Don't know. I only pick up 3 hours at midnight tonight for working Friday. So, it'll probably be Saturday before I get home, but it's ok, this time. Gives me another day off.

I try to do that, too. Just got caught with a little 3 hour day in there due to a broker load I had to sit on. And I know Abilene got detention and layover pay on it, so I better get it too! This time it's ok. Last time I had a dental appt and missed it, so I actually got 4 days off because it was a Friday and I got a reschedule appt Monday. Now that was nice. Didn't want to come back out! LOL

KH we have I think 100 shiny new reefers coming this year. Some have made it into the rotation already and the older reefers and dry vans have been de-logo'd and are now AMX Leasing trailers. The new 2015 volvo 780's are being filtered into our fleet as older 13 and14 team trucks make it to the yard. They strip the Team Operation off and a solo driver gets it. New Volvos out there have a chrome deerkillers now.The Challenger Thanks this.

Would 1433 be team?? The gentleman (middle aged black fella) was nice. Didn't want bug him or possible team mate as my 4-wheel makes noise from the belts. The trailer down here is 7176 fitted with trailer skirts. Good to see Abilene still buying VN780's. They're my favorite truck. I take it solos get the mack midroof's or old team trucks??
Also, every time I see a Publix or Wally getting remodeled, I always tell the mgr I know the people who haul the HP coolers. If they do not believe me, I tell em look up Abilene on the freight bills. Anyways be safe and keep em turning. -
all of our teams have TEAM OPERATION on the doors. The regional drivers are predominantly the mid-roof Macks. OTR Solos are Volvo, Freightliners, and KW 680. All are condos. These three are all designated for teams as well. And training has the label team ops as well, Just so responders would know 2 people on board. And for DOT not to think we had just picked up a sketchy hitch hiker, etc. i think we have 41 teams and 8-9 training trucks. The rest are solo prob about 180-200 of those. In case we cross paths Im 1408.The Challenger Thanks this.

I saw an Abilene Volvo Tuesday I think, sitting at Americart, in Bristol IN. Rarely see them around here.
