The most I have waited there was 3hrs. Trailer was supposed to be loaded, but they must have been running behind. That was just a one off, every other pickup there was ready to roll.

I heard somewhere we have over 2000 trailers, don't know how accurate that is, but it's not hard to imagine when you travel all over the country and see them stacked up in customer yards.
Doesn't compare to the likes of Swift etc, but pretty impressive for a "small" family business.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
It's one of those words that as soon as you hear it you know exactly what it means. That was the case when I heard it (and others) for the first time during my time beyond these shores.

One gauge I wouldn't want to drive a truck without is my air suspension gauge. I have made shippers rework loads before I have even pulled away from the dock just by knowing my drive axle weight limit on that gauge.JohnBoy and popcorn169 Thank this.

Running recap sucks and you just know you are off to a bad start when you start your clock with only 3 hrs on your "14".

Ok, so report on how many OORM it is going out of Beverly WV to Sandston VA via I79 South to US 19 to I 64. Drum roll, please.......178. Yeah, not so good. Might've been less headed N on 79, but I figured with all the traffic on the 70, 522, 17, 95 corridor, this once it was worth it. Next time I'll probably go 48 across. It really didn't look too bad () on google maps.

I'm always shocked when they even bother to give me a load when I'm sitting idle with only 3 hours coming back on my clock. I've told friends "Yep, I'll be here for 34 hours. I'm outta hours today and only getting 3 back tonight. No chance they'll actually send me anywhere with those hours."
And then Edna informs me that a new message has arrived.
I guess those three hours matter sometimes. I don't mind, really. I'm happy for the miles. But it surprises me when it happens.Redtwin Thanks this. -
Next time I'm gonna take US33, just so I can compare the two and provide my Sage Insight(tm) on which one is superior.
