Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Entertaining wasn't the word I was thinking of as I tried to get 4 loads from two shippers arranged on the trailer where they wouldn't block each other, overload the drives or flip the trailer on it's side. Oh, and the Forklift Driver at the second stop spoke no English, I mean none at all.

Lots of hand waving and pigeon Spanglish (on my part) ensued.

Have I ever mentioned that the last reefer I will ever pull will have "Abilene" written on it?.

 

Someone please save me......from QVC! My mother loves to watch AND order lots of stuff from this place. Now I'm getting sucked into it as well! I need to get back to work and away from this channel!

Does Abilene send you to Cali with a dry van or is it always a reefer?

 

My solo trips across country have been dry van. Cross-country reefer loads are usually given to teams rather than solo drivers.
