I'm currently nestled snug in a hotel room in Pearl River, LA. Got a whole week off after spending 42 days on the road. Don't have to be back in the truck until next Monday. Daughter is going to Space Camp over in Mississippi. Dropping her off there each morning, picking her up in the afternoon. Just me and my son hanging out while she's off learning about Mars.

Told him we weren't gonna be doing anything today but laying about like slugs, because I drove all day yesterday, and I drove all day before, and I drove the 42 days before that, and I need some downtime to rest and recharge.

Tomorrow, though, I'm gonna take him across the Ponchartrain Causeway, and then we're gonna grab some local vittles. He's into drinking coffee now when he's with me, 'cause his mom won't let him drink it. So I think we might also plan a trip into New Orleans to visit the French Quarter and hit up the Cafe du Monde for some cafe au lait and beignets.

 

Sounds like a fun time for sure!!!

Don't care about that. Just put the dang air vents so they don't blow directly on my hands and shoulders. But I do like the sleeper.

 

Not really.... maps, phone, etc... more voice control... much easier than juggling one's phone... LOL
