Once again at home for the weekend. Unscheduled this time. Air brake system sprung a leak. Pressure gauge got down near 60psi a few times while I was in stop-and-go traffic near Ashland.
Load I was carrying was supposed to be a live unload at Hill-Phoenix in Colonial Heights, but I felt that pulling into the yard and having a city driver do the rest while they took a look at my truck would be the safer option. Put the ticket in at 3:00pm, noticed that they looked very busy, and probably wouldn't even *look* at my truck today, much less fix it. Unfortunately, girlfriend is in England for the next 3 weeks, so it's Crunchyroll and video games and pizza for me tonight.JohnBoy Thanks this. -

I lived in Lancashire, closer to Leeds than to London, but then nothing is far away on that little island despite what the locals thought. I remember co-workers there expressing grave concern about me driving to London and back on the same day, a whopping 450 mile round trip. -
I'm headed home. Me and Charlie got to the WM yard early this morning. He got his truck assignment yesterday and was solo today. 6.5 weeks, 35,200 miles and he's good to go. I have no issue with them cutting him loose. I delivery in Jacksonville Monday morning. I'll be home Monday afternoon and the wife and I are leaving for our Alaskan cruise on Thursday with 3 nights in Seattle.
Lonesome, bigred81, 4mer trucker and 1 other person Thank this.
